Beyond the Chair: Mental Health Skills Workshop
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF REGISTRATION
Effective Date: 1 June 2026
Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before registering for the Beyond the Chair: Mental Health Skills Workshop ("Workshop") organised by Pascoe-Watson Pty Ltd ABN 96689286879 ("Organiser", "we", "us", "our"). By completing your registration, you ("Participant") agree to be legally bound by these Terms in their entirety. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not proceed with registration.
1. REGISTRATION AND ACCEPTANCE
1.1 Registration for the Workshop is complete only upon receipt of full payment (where applicable) and a written confirmation email from the Organiser.
1.2 By registering, the Participant confirms that they are at least 18 years of age, or are registering with the written consent of a parent or legal guardian.
1.3 The Organiser reserves the right to refuse or cancel any registration at its sole discretion, including where the Participant's conduct or suitability is deemed incompatible with the Workshop's safe space guidelines.
2. PAYMENT
2.1 All registration fees are stated in Australian Dollars (AUD) inclusive of GST where applicable.
2.2 Full payment is required at the time of registration to secure a place at the Workshop. Registrations not accompanied by payment will not be confirmed.
2.3 The Organiser accepts no liability for any bank fees, transaction charges, or currency conversion costs incurred by the Participant.
3. CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
3.1 ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Except as expressly provided in these Terms or as required by the Australian Consumer Law, registration fees are strictly non-refundable once payment is received.
3.2 Cancellations by the Participant must be submitted in writing to the Organiser's official contact email address. The following policy applies:
Cancellations made more than 14 days before the Workshop date: a credit note equal to 50% of the registration fee will be issued, redeemable for a future Pascoe-Watson event within 12 months. No cash refund will be provided.
Cancellations made 7 to 14 days before the Workshop date: no refund or credit will be issued.
Cancellations made fewer than 7 days before the Workshop date, or non-attendance on the day: no refund, credit, or transfer will be provided under any circumstances.
3.3 Participant name transfers (substitutions) may be requested in writing no later than 5 business days before the Workshop. Any approved transfer is at the Organiser's sole discretion and is subject to an administration fee of AUD $20
3.4 The Organiser strongly recommends that Participants obtain appropriate travel or event insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances that may prevent attendance.
3.5 Change of mind, personal scheduling conflicts, illness, or any circumstance personal to the Participant does not entitle the Participant to a refund outside the terms stated above.
4. WORKSHOP CHANGES AND CANCELLATION BY ORGANISER
4.1 The Organiser reserves the right to modify the Workshop program, schedule, speakers, facilitators, or venue at any time without prior notice. Such modifications do not entitle the Participant to a refund.
4.2 In the event that the Organiser cancels the Workshop entirely due to circumstances within its control, a full refund of the registration fee will be provided. The Organiser's liability is strictly limited to the value of the registration fee paid and does not extend to any consequential, incidental, or indirect losses including travel, accommodation, or loss of income.
4.3 In the event of Workshop cancellation, postponement, or significant change due to circumstances beyond the Organiser's reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, pandemic, government-imposed restrictions, venue unavailability, or other force majeure events, the Organiser will not be obligated to provide a refund. A credit note or rescheduled event date will be offered where reasonably practicable.
5. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
5.1 The Workshop is provided for educational and professional development purposes only. Nothing presented during the Workshop constitutes professional psychological, medical, therapeutic, or clinical advice. Participants are advised to seek qualified professional guidance for personal mental health concerns.
5.2 To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Organiser, its directors, employees, contractors, facilitators, and agents shall not be liable for:
Any loss, damage, injury, illness, or death suffered by a Participant in connection with attending the Workshop;
Any indirect, consequential, special, or incidental loss, including loss of income, loss of business opportunity, or emotional distress;
Any reliance by the Participant on content, information, or materials provided during the Workshop.
5.3 Where liability cannot be excluded by law (including under the Australian Consumer Law), the Organiser's total liability is limited to the amount paid by the Participant for the Workshop registration.
5.4 Participants attend the Workshop at their own risk. The Organiser accepts no responsibility for any personal property lost, stolen, or damaged at the venue.
6. PHOTOGRAPHY, FILMING, AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
6.1 Recording and Photography by the Organiser
By registering and attending the Workshop, the Participant expressly acknowledges and agrees that:
Photographs, video recordings, and/or audio recordings may be taken by or on behalf of the Organiser during the Workshop, including during sessions, breaks, and networking activities.
The Participant grants the Organiser a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use their image, voice, and likeness captured at the Workshop for the Organiser's own marketing, promotional, educational, social media, and archival purposes.
If a Participant does not consent to being photographed or filmed, they must notify the Organiser in writing prior to the event and identify themselves to the photographer or event coordinator upon arrival. Reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate this request, however the Organiser cannot guarantee exclusion from all incidental recordings.
6.2 Recording and Photography by Participants
Participants are strictly prohibited from:
Recording any portion of the Workshop (audio, video, or screen capture) without prior written consent from the Organiser;
Photographing, filming, or recording other participants without their individual express consent;
Publishing, distributing, sharing, selling, or otherwise disseminating any recordings, photographs, notes, slides, handouts, or content from the Workshop on any platform, medium, or channel, whether personal, professional, or commercial, without the Organiser's prior written approval.
6.3 Intellectual Property
6.3.1 All Workshop materials, including but not limited to presentations, handouts, workbooks, exercises, frameworks, and any content delivered by facilitators, remain the exclusive intellectual property of Pascoe-Watson Pty Ltd and/or the respective facilitators.
6.3.2 Participants are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to use Workshop materials for their own private professional development only.
6.3.3 Any use of Workshop content for commercial purposes, including but not limited to paid courses, workshops, publications, consulting services, social media monetisation, or business training programmes, is strictly prohibited without prior written agreement from the Organiser.
6.3.4 Breach of this clause may result in immediate removal from the Workshop without refund and may attract legal action for damages, including claims for intellectual property infringement.
7. CODE OF CONDUCT
7.1 All Participants are expected to behave respectfully, professionally, and inclusively throughout the Workshop. The Organiser has a zero-tolerance policy for discriminatory, harassing, threatening, or disruptive behaviour.
7.2 The Organiser reserves the right to remove any Participant from the Workshop at any time if their conduct is deemed disruptive, inappropriate, or in violation of these Terms. No refund will be provided in such circumstances.
7.3 Participants agree to respect the privacy and confidentiality of other attendees. Personal disclosures made by other Participants during the Workshop must not be shared outside the Workshop setting.
8. PRIVACY
8.1 The Organiser collects personal information provided during registration for the purposes of administering the Workshop, communicating with Participants, and, where consent is given, future marketing communications.
8.2 Personal information is handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. The Organiser will not sell or disclose personal information to third parties except as required to deliver the Workshop or as required by law.
8.3 Participants may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal information by contacting the Organiser in writing.
9. HEALTH AND SAFETY
9.1 Participants are responsible for their own health and wellbeing during the Workshop. By attending, the Participant confirms that they are in a suitable physical and mental condition to participate.
9.2 The Workshop may involve open discussion of emotionally sensitive topics including mental health, stress, and professional burnout. Participants who have concerns about their wellbeing in this context are encouraged to speak with the Organiser prior to attending.
9.3 The Organiser is not responsible for any adverse physical, psychological, or emotional reaction experienced by a Participant during or after the Workshop.
10. GOVERNING LAW
10.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms or the Workshop shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
10.2 If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
11. AMENDMENTS
11.1 The Organiser reserves the right to update or amend these Terms at any time. Participants will be notified of material changes via the email address provided at registration. Continued attendance at the Workshop following notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
